Industry first! Digital cone penetrometer using a load cell.

■ The penetration operator can read the values. Since the display and operation panel is located on the top surface of the load cell, the operator can read the values. The display section uses an LCD panel, allowing values to be read even in direct sunlight. ■ Strong against uneven loading. By adopting a structure that does not allow for uneven loading, it is now possible to measure accurately without the need for both hands to apply force evenly, which would otherwise cause uneven loading. ■ Improved durability. With the use of a durable load cell that has a maximum load of 1,000N, a permissible weight of 200%, and a limit load of 300%, the structure is strong against shocks and overloads. ■ Waterproof performance. It has a waterproof rating equivalent to IP64.

Investigate the cone index (qc) that determines the vehicle's mobility and the softness of the ground!

This is a device that measures changes in soil along a vertical line using a manual loading method and investigates the strength of the ground. The obtained cone index [qc] is used to determine vehicle mobility (trafficability) and the softness of the ground. The measurement method involves manually driving a cone tip vertically into the soil (at a speed of about 1 cm/sec), reading the dial gauge value each time the 10 cm spaced markings on the rod penetrate the surface, and calculating the penetration resistance. This penetration resistance is divided by the cone cross-sectional area to determine the relative strength of the ground.
